According to Gallup’s Global Law and Order Report 2021, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the safest country in the world to walk alone at night.
On his Twitter account, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the results, saying:
“Security is a blessing.. and safety is tranquility, tranquility, and life. If a woman wanders alone at any hour of the day or night without fear, know that she is in the Emirates..”

People’s perceptions of their own safety and security in the rule of law were the basis for the report’s results. The surveys were done during the pandemic, between 2020 and the first half of 2021.
Georgetown University’s Women, Peace, and Security Index, released in October, ranked the UAE as the safest country for women to walk at night, with Singapore coming in second.
The UAE also ranked first in the ‘Perception of Community Safety’ category, with a score of 98.5 percent.
The UAE came in second with a score of 93 points in the highest law and order index. With 94 points, Norway came out on top.
