Since 2006, Henley & Partners Passport Index, based on proprietary data provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), has been tracking the world’s most travel-friendly passports.

According to the Henley Passport Index, 199 passports are ranked according to the number of countries their holders can go to without needing a visa.

An individual could travel an average of 57 countries without obtaining a visa in advance, according to the Henley Passport Index published in 2006.

As of right now, that number has nearly doubled to 107.

According to the index, holders of passports from Japan and Singapore can potentially travel visa-free to 192 countries.
