Emirates airline has earned its place with a high ‘Safe Travel Score’ of 4.4 out of 5.0 by the Safe Travel Barometer that was launched in 2020 and the airline has been announced the safest airline in the world in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic from over 230 airline operators that participated in the audit.
An analysis of 26 health and safety parameters evaluated the airline safety protocols, traveler convenience, and service excellence announced by airlines that cut across every phase of the passenger’s journey.
Safety measures adopted by the airline include the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits, protective barriers at check-in desks and immigration counters, personal protective equipment and new safety protocols for cabin crew and airport employees in customer-facing roles, and elevated aircraft cleaning procedures including the frequent cleaning and disinfecting of aircraft lavatories every 45 minutes during flights, amongst many other measures.
Airline passengers also enjoy several loyalty benefits that include flexible travel planning, ticket validity of up to 2 years, and a variety of ways to earn and spend their travel miles.
The airline is popular for setting and exceeding international travel standards with business operation processes that comply with leading safety standards even after the commencement of their operations post-Covid19.
This has earned them other international awards in 2020 including Best Airline for 2020 at The Sun Travel Awards, and the Best Long-Haul Airline at The Times and The Sunday Times Travel Awards
