Passengers now flying on Emirates can fly with confidence, as the airline has announced it would now cover all medical expenses and quarantine costs regarding COVID 19 treatment.
Emirates customers can claim, up to EUR 150,000 and quarantine costs of EUR 100 per day for 14 days. This initiative was taken under the directive of Vice President, Prime Minister of UAE and the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Doing this makes Emirates become the first airline to bring up such an initiative.
According to Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman & CEO of Emirates, “Emirates has worked hard to put in place measures at every step of the customer journey to mitigate the risk of infection, and we revamped our booking policies to offer flexibility. It is an investment on our part, but we are putting our customers first, and we believe they will welcome this initiative.”
The cover is immediately effective for the customers flying on Emirates until 30 October 2020. The cover is valid for 31 days from the moment they fly the first sector of their journey.
Through this initiative, Emirates states that this will boost passenger confidence and once again position Emirates and Dubai as global aviation leaders and the strategic location also makes a great advantage. Emirates is regularly listed on the prestigious Skytrax awards for the best airline.
