Safe Travel Tips for Unvaccinated Travelers

Travel

If you must travel and are not vaccinated, take the following safe travel tips and precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

It is strongly advised that you postpone travel until you are fully vaccinated.

In public, cover your nose and mouth with a mask.

On flights, buses, trains, and other kinds of public transportation, wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is essential.

Avoid crowds and keep a distance of at least 6 feet/2 meters (approximately 2 arm lengths) between you and anyone who isn’t traveling with you.

Hands should be washed often or sanitizers with at least 60% alcohol should be used.

If you absolutely must fly, attempt to book flights with the fewest stops or layovers possible.

Before you travel, double-check your accomodation’s COVID-19 prevention policies.

Avoid sharing places or restroom facilities with a large group of people.

Check the restaurant’s COVID-19 preventive policies before eating there.

When engaging with restaurant personnel, use the drive-thru, delivery, and curbside pick-up options and wear a mask.

After your trip, have a viral test 3-5 days after you return home and self-quarantine for a full 14 days.
